THE AFRICAN IN ME…

Want create site? Find Free WordPress Themes and plugins.

I’ve always wanted to try out an ‘African look’. I said to myself that if I was to try it out I would start off with a blazer seeing as I love blazers because they go well with any look you pick out of your wardrobe. I felt left out since every guy I know has been on the African print vibe and I didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to represent the Mother Land. It has really taken the streets by storm right now, so I would advise you, yeeees you reading this post! Get an African statement piece in your wardrobe and wear it proudly.

I am currently wearing a piece by. Shiyenze who is an African based designer currently in Kenya. The Kamba in me decided to go with this tone of fabric which complimented my skin tone 😉

I paired this look with chocolate brown pants, a milk white v-neck t-shirt and a pair of white and gold tone sneakers.

TIPS: When matching, try to find a colour on the print of the item that will match with the rest. When in doubt go for white, black or blue.

* Pair the blazer with a plain trouser. I went with a brown trouser.

*The colour print of the blazer should compliment your skin tone.

Okay, I will listen to your advice and get me a blazer asap! I love the color and the print on the blazer, it blends in perfectly with your skin and you can never go wrong with black or white when it comes to print. You look dashing!

First off I want to say excellent blog! I had a quick question which
I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear
your mind before writing. I have had trouble clearing my
thoughts in getting my ideas out. I do take pleasure in writing but
it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are
lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?
    Thank you!

      Hi Carol,
i too get trouble in starting to write a blog. What i usually do is first know what i want to wear and do a photo-shoot. after that i get the pictures and try now to get ideas of what to write which is easier for me. try that hope it helps.
